It's not often that I peruse Whitney Houston's back catalogue, but following CHVRCHES' cover of the soul diva's It's Not Right But It's Okay, I was prompted to have a listen. The Scottish electro-poppers offer a refreshing take on the 90's chart classic, Lauren Mayberry's vocals lending a new delicacy to the breakup ballad, whilst the instrumentation of the original song finds itself reinvented by the trio's definitive synth stylings, set to a crisp new drum-loop.
