Recorded under the moniker Mr Little Jeans, Norwegian songstress Monica Birkenes' take on Arcade Fire's The Suburbs may have already been out for a couple of years, but remains, nonetheless, a fresh and darkly-electronic reworking of the Montreal indie rockers' 2010 album opener. Built around a tempestuous synth-sequence and disrupted-drum beats, Mr Little Jeans' potent amalgam of seething-electronica and sultry St Vincent-esque vocals makes for hypnotic listening.
